"Defender of Mankind"
Okay.. so I think we've decided on a name finally. Xander Tye Jones. (Xander is pronounced Zander- Travis thinks it looks cooler with the X) It's not completely set in stone.. but that's what we've been calling him whenever we talk about him. Oh and get this- Xander means, "Defender of Mankind"! Oh ya, Trav looooved that! So, chances are, this will be it. I know it's alittle unique.. its funny becuase my family all loves the name (in fact, it was on my sister, Lindsays list) but whenever we mention it to any of Trav's family, they give a weird face! Haha! Too bad Jones family! Your not gonna get any basic names here! Anyhoo- we can't wait to meet you Xander!!

How Cute. I like it. We had friends in Idaho who's baby was named Alexander and they called him Xander but I've never met just a Xander. So that is really cool. Good name
I LOVE that name! And that spelling! I actually liked it with Bella's pregnancy but Doug hated that I wanted it to have an X instead of a z! I think it sounds great put together too... Xander Tye Jones... Love it!
Travis did always have this thing for manly names (like tought tiger Tippetts). Do you guys remember Xena the warrior princess? The X reminds me of her. I like the meaning of the name. I don't think we even looked up meanings when we named Whitney.

I love that name! Dave and I could never use it because Dave's sister named her son Alexander and they call him Xander. I'm happy you get to use it though-because it's an awesome name and I like the way it looks with the "X" too. Dave and I are also into unique names. Dave has always been the 5th kid in his class with that name-he's hated being a number like that.
